Is anyone catching any shad behind Ray Roberts Dam since they opened the gates, I went last week but didn't get a one!!!

Well, I couldn't wait that long for an answer, so I went out there and caught a few, got a couple of nice gizzard shad but mostly medium threadfins, I think the water is a little too swift to catch them!!!

How do you catch shad? Do you use sabiki rigs?

Most of the time I use a 7'0 radius cast-net which makes a 14'0 circle, I have a smaller net that I use when I think I might get hung up, those big ones cost too much to replace every weekend!!!
