Did I mention we were fishing for blues. Rusty and I got a wild hair and thought we would go out and catch some bluecat (wrong), we did catch a couple of channels though. We stopped in on a couple of crappie spots on the way back to the boat ramp and put 21 crappie in the box.

No big blues put some even better eating.

, Well we did get skunked on bluecat. We had to give them a try, Its about the only thing this week we didn't for. Monday we went to Bridgeport and caught largemouth and whitebass and cleaned house on the whitebass, Tuesday we fished on Ray Roberts for crappie and loaded up on some hogs, Wednesday we went to Texoma and caught a bunch of stripers and crappie, Thursday we tried the bluecat and ended up nailing some more crappie, Today we fished a private lake by Decator for largemouth and did good but I wish I had taken some crappie stuff because that lake is loaded with crappie.

hahahaha . Yep we was singing the blues for a while . The name of the song was Don't Ever Soak Your Shad In Garlic.

You know it's a hard day on the Cats when the Crappie are the bigger fish.

Cliff - Work (this time of year) the exact same places where the White Bass are for the Blues - they gang up (this time of year) with the other fish (White Bass/Hybrids/Stripers).

If you find those - the blues are there also (fresh Cut Shad or either the right size whole).

Hey Mark we did just what you said infact I caught some whites slabbing as we worked the area with the cut shad. The only thing that was different was Rusty soaked the shad in garlic which I dont think was a good thing.

Crappie taste better any way.
