I might have been fooled this morning on a big lake. The wind was hardly even blowing.Thay had forcast about 10 mph. Well about 10:30 their was a wall of wind hit I bet was 20 plus mph. That lake changed in 3 min from nice to not so nice. LL and RR were monsters I bet. Just a word to the wise.

Took my little 12' jon boat out to Joe Pool to fish the bridge. When I saw the lake I decided it was too windy for my little boat so I didn't try it.

Never take the wind forecast as something even close to definite, especially in the fall. things can change quickly. Last year I was in a little boat, on a calm day, with no wind forecast for the day, then it started blowing like crazy and pushed me up on the bank in my little aluminum boat. I couldnt get off the bank for over an hour. it was a hairy ride back to the launch also. use caution always, and be attuned to your surroundings.

Tell me about it. Man, good thing I made sure to fish my open water spots first today. That wind was howling! I watched some other guys out there struggling to cross the lake. Rogh stuff for sure. Hope everyone made it home ok.

Wind was a beating at Roberts today! The only brush piles I have out of the wind didn't want to give up any fishes!! Tough day.
