http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/news/story?id=4622709We thought things would go better with TO gone...But Roy is proving otherwise. Can someone say jealous?? "I'm the No. 1 receiver," Williams said. "But things are just going No. 2's way." "He gets the ball thrown correctly his way," Williams said of Austin. "I'm stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who's been here's balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now."

Just the media trying to start some more carp.
Wheres the scumbag, Ed Werder been this year? Moved to Buffalo for the winter to haunt his buddy TO.
Gotta love it, Ed in Buffalo. What did he do, come back to Dallas to start carp?
Roy sure is blocking like he's number one! I haven't seen many other Dallas wideouts blocking 49 yards down field every long run.
Roy is earning his keep and the season is short. I'd hate to crucify a guy that may prove to be big down the road.

He's just another buffoon to take the place of the buffoon that now plays in Buffalo. Pitiful, overrated, arrogant, crybaby needs to blame the guy in the mirror FIRST! sums it up real good, I like the buffoon part, why, why is there always one that thinks he is better than he really is?

"He gets the ball thrown correctly his way," Williams said of Austin. "I'm stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who's been here's balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now." Don't see one untrue word there. However... Could it be that Roy isn't being consistent in the way he runs routes in the game compared to practice? Whatever is wrong between Romo and Williams needs to be fixed yesterday.

uh yeah. TO blocked like that too. I admit though, he's had it, but ol Roy never even got it. He is way overhyped.

Williams is a good receiver. He has had some bad throws come his way lately, could it be his route? Only they know, but I believe that he is a good fit for our offense. He demands their best CB and he will get some points pretty soon ( I hope )

That same article, Roy said, I'm happy with winning and I'm not looking for more opportunities, just want to get on same page with Romo! Sounds good to me. Sounds like he wants to contribute more.
Nothing he said isn't true, and if he believed he's a #2, I'd think alot less of him as a professional.
6 games, 41.5 ypg, 2 TDS. They make it look bad by showing last years stats as well. Typical media tactics. Just using 2009 games, 41.5 yards per game is contributing considering Romo is using 6-10 guys in the passing game.
Williams isn't putting up TO numbers, TO surely wouldn't have went up for the ball that Williams did almost losing his rib cage.
League average for Wide receivers is 201 yards, Roy has 249. Leader has 697. League average for TD's is 1, Roy has 2. Leader has 6 TDS.
His stats are better than average compared to the league.

the guy is scared to get hit, he drops perfectly thrown balls, he is one of the highest paid guys on the team, and he still sucks! Get rid of this crybaby, and bring in a rookie with some youth and thankfulness about him.

If Romo was still overthrowing everyone like he did against the Giants, I might agree with Williams, but is it magic that he's able to hit everyone else in stride now except for him?
Personally, I think Williams does best when he lines up in the slot.

He needs to keep his mouth shut and play football. I understand that the ball placement for his has not been ideal. He has also has several hit him in the hands and has not held on to the ball. I say if he runs his mouth again to pull him out of the starting spot. If he still creates a problem cut your losses and him. I am tired of all the locker room BS.

Thats media BS stirring the pot.

I agree with spidey here...he should be in the slot more to use his size and his lack of speed will not hamper him as much...he just can't threaten the d-backs with the deep ball outsided cause they can easily run with him. Therefore, when he cuts to the outside/inside they are usually right with him. In the slot he could use his size to "block" the smaller corners/safeties and then use another of his positive attributes the ole run after the catch.

I agree totally with the slot! Austin is a legit deep threat and we still need to utilize our great tight ends more. GO COWBOYS

why cant these sissies just stay quiet and play football? So they can talk about it on the radio and people can post on the internet about it. Bunch of hub bub. People are reading waaaaaaay too much into the comment. Plus, is what he's saying not true? They are clearly not on the same page.

Personally, I think Williams does best when he lines up in the slot. Romo is a confidence guy, when his confidence is high he's lights out. When his confidence is low he looks terrible. Obviously he has a ton of confidence in Austin (right now). He clearly doesn't have confidence in Williams (to an extent rightfully so). But.......If we want to go anywhere in the playoffs. They better start developing some confidence pretty soon. Williams is not performing up to his potential. But the guy isn't quitting, he's making the blocks and working hard. He's going after the difficult balls, he's taking the hits with busted ribs. I like that. Alot of Star WR in this league would be giving up and griping and complaining. He's not that's why I cut him slack.
