My dad works for the state and can be called off to work for weeks, and he normally works like 5 counties every day. My mom has a solid job but takes up all day. I wont to get a hardship licence to be able to get a job and work. I have been raised to work. The harder the harder you can play. I would have to be able to drive to and from work.Do you think I could get a hardship? y or y not?

If your folks can manage to put food on the table and the school sends a bus to get you to and from school, I suggest staying a kid as long as you can.
Once you start working, you're at it for the rest of your life. No sense in getting a head start unless it's absolutely necessary is my advice.

your "job" is school, employment is only a supplement.
focus on YOUR JOB and then do sidework when time allows.
btw- do your job well now and you can get the job you "want" rather than one you have to "settle" for.

He want a Driver License so he can get more dates.
Surely all you guys remember how it was to be 15 or 16 with a car.
The girls were young and stupid, and life was grand oh i remember, unfortunately i was stupid too. worried more about chicks and money and didnt look past the next day....and i had to work my azz off much later to get my stuff together. worst part about talking to a teenager, is giving them advise is usually a waste of time.... as they already know everything....well, the stupid ones do.... the smart ones have enough sense to realize adults with life experience should be listened to. but 90% i put in the stupid catagory.

The best way ive found to explain "intelligence" and "wisdom" to a kid..... I ask them to divide there age in half. Now think back when you were 7 and think about how you are now. Would you say you are twice as smart at 15 as you were when you were 7?? most will answer yes... OK, your fifteen, now multiply that times 2....and a reasonable person would surmise a 30 year old would generally be twice as smart as a 15 year old. So why do you listen to other 15 year olds and ignore adults? doesnt seem very smart does it?
..... My personal opinion is from the time puberty starts at 12-13 range to ....usually very late teens to early twenties, they are dumber than they were before they hit puberty.
I truely believe my incredibly intelligent daughters IQ has dropped every day since she turned 13.
It amazes me how someone goes from playing dress up and barbies, can suddenly become smarter than me in a couple years. But most teens think that way. And as they progress through their teens and get just a "taste" of life experience, they somehow know it ALL.....
my oldest is almost 16 and she can barely drive her way from home to her high school, two miles away.... But she thinks she has all the knowledge she will ever need.
This post isnt so much about my kid, shes actually a GREAT kid with straight A's and no behavioral issues.... but shes the typical teenager.
rant over.

cow, I had two jobs by the age of 15 and they sucked. I washed windows (outside) for an agent. I also washed dishes for a little breakfast restaurant. I didn't have a car, but I did earn enough $ that my Mom told me that when I turned 16 that she would match whatever I saved to buy a car. That was brilliant of her. I had to walk to work or ride a bike. At the time, I thaught it was hard, but now I am thankful that I did it. Basically, what I am saying is: if you want a job and can get one, then do it. You don't have to have a car right now. Think about all of the things that you will need. INSURANCE for your age is really expensive. Not to mention keep up, gas and oil. Do you already have a car or truck or whatever? There is always cost!
