The lake has been horrible for the last couple of years. Even alot of the local pro's have been admitting to that. I think during the FLW event, one of the guys was talking about how there isn't any of the birds and animals around anymore.

Sucked last year when we were there, and it sucks again this year for the guys that made it.

Id rather fish EM 7 days in a row than go back to Dardanelle for 1 day!

Dardenelle is a great lake . You just have to fish with confidence. Pick one bait and area and fish the heck out of it. I had a great vacation fishing there.

Dardenelle was definately a whip last year. My understanding is flooding a few years back and continued periods of heavy rain have killed/washed all the grass away. Local sticks will tell you dont come unless you have to because your not going to get many bites.

I thought Ray Roberts was fishing tough earlier this year. Man Dardanelle is a grind. I had found a few fish in a tiny little pocket with some dead pads. It was very shallow and they were dropping the lake. First 2 days caught 15 to 20 fish, but with the pressure and the lowering the lake they were gone day 3. I had a great time at the event and so did Amy. First year fishing BWS and am looking forward to next year.

Even though the fishing sucked and the lake was in bad shape, it is a very beautiful place to go fishing. Early in the week really had to watch out where you were running. Even a dead cow was floating down the lake. Can you imagine running into that sucker frown
