Lake Georgetown went from way below pool (791) to almost 7 ft. over pool in the month of October. So there is a whole lot of new water in the lake which will make fishing different then usual. Below the dam has not been very productive because up until recently there has been no water released.. If you are bank bound I might suggest fishing in the city park where the North and south San Gabriel rivers meet. I've had many good times fishing that river...

went down behind the dam for a few hours to check it out. A couple were catching small cats on liver at the end of the boulders and rock bank starts. As for the lake talked to a few guys that had been out there and not catching anything way to flooded right now. You can catch some small cats down in the park but not sure how good the bite will be.

Went behind the dam this afternoon .
Had three 8-10 inch bass on unpainted jig head with a white grub close to the rocks . dam was releasing water at a good pace just no bites. drove over to the park and the water looked shallow in most parts . going to try it in the morning.
