A guy posted yesterday in the Bass section that he called the corps of engineers,and Speegleville,Twin Bridges,and Airport were all open.

Was out looking around at Lake Waco today...Didnt see any boats, but saw enough logs in the water to make me decide NOT to try it. Wood EVERYWHERE...if you go please be real carefull

Nada wind blew us off tried old dam about 2hrs not even a bite marked a lot of fish nuthin biten,got some good shad (6 to 12in )about 35ft deep at bubbles

My kids and I went to woodway park during the week, there several guys fishing there catching catfish with shad from the bank.

Lots of water still coming into the Lake even in the feeder creeks. LOTS OF LOGS ALL OVER THE LAKE thanks for the heads up Cooter. I was still able to run every where just very carefully. Caught 6 Channels all good eaters in 10' timber. They wanted Sure Shot today under Bush's slip corks. My chum bait worked well shad, shrimp, range cubes and wheat soaked for a week and mixed with a drill and paint stirrer. Drfit fished over the old dam and picked up one fish on top.

Glad to hear you caught some. I don't fish Waco..I'm jinkxed on it.lol Every time I take the boat out there, something happens... New impeller went out at ramp and high wind pushed boat into side of my truck while we were trying to load. Next, blew BOTH trailor tires on the way to lake. Last time, was going to launch and tried to start motor and the selenoid went out. BUT the dernd thing started the night before on the muffs testing everything out. Lake Waco don't like me!!! lol I have been waiting for Tradinghouse to fill back up and now that it is up, I have been sick and can't go fishing.
Just my luck!!! LOL

Hope you get better to fish Cooter. It looks like a trip to Tradinghouse is in order to change that luck!! I haven't been there since the 90's is it a real good cat lake??

Yeah, it's been good for me....Now that it's up again, I'm going this weekend no matter what...I fish close to the rip-rap by the power plant and by the old hot water outlet...am looking forward to getting back out there....

I can always catch quite a few more cats at Waco than at Tradinghouse. But that is just me.

I might catch some at Waco IF I could ever get on the lake...lol Like I said, every time I try something happens....Maybe someday...lol
