Special thanks to Paul and Gretchen from Glen Ellyn, Illinois for booking a overnight Brazos River Kayak Fishing Adventure with River Run Guide Service. Congratulations to Paul on benchmarking the 2009 Texas Fall/Winter trophy striper season by CPR'ing a personal best 36.5" striper from the kayak. What a great way to celebrate your 50th birthday!!! Ya'll stay tuned... A full report and pics of this couples epic overnighter with River Run Guide Service will follow later in the week.

Thanks, damfisherman.
To facilitate the best possible CPR scenario, no weight was taken, only length.

Just beware the rattler he carries..... The Man does put you on fish of a lifetime, that's a given. One day, one day, I will make The Trek.

Congrats, well done brother! Its been quiet from yaknyota ...so I figured with the cooler weather, something BIG is brewing. LOL! I wonder if thats the 36" stiper I CPR'ed back in June and now grew .5 inch? Nevermind, just compared the pic of my fish and its not. Mine had a couple of broken lines. The 42 incher is still out there and now bigger, fatter, and meaner! LOL!
Edited by SeaPro-Todd (11/04/09 09:14 PM) Edit Reason: hybrid to striper :-p

Hey, Brian. Yeah, it's a typo. Todd caught two big fish on his trip with me. The infamous record breaking 42" Texas Catch and Release State Record Striped Bass as well as a 36" striped bass. Both were CPR'd. There is a distinct possibility that Todd's 42" fish will be the largest documented striper caught in Texas during the 2008-2009 season.
