Has anyone ever fished this place?Its over off of sylvan and irving blvd in Dallas.It looks like a great place and its connected to the trinity.And has anyone ever fished Mountain Creek Lake in grand prairie also.i have drove by these 2 places for ever and it finally caught my eye today.

I have fished Mountain Creek a bunch since it is the closest lake to me. I have caught up to 15# but nothing bigger. The trammel crow park is a bit ghetto so I am sure any carp that were caught were eaten

I usually fish the west side by the reeds . The lake is very silty and usually windy as heck. There are some 4x4 trails there that you can access some better swims but unless you have a concealed carry permit I wouldn't suggest it. Lots of crazy stuff happens back in those trails ........

I live by mountain creek and used to catch carp in the power plant area the heated water in the winter drew them in it has been years though.

the power plant is only operation part of the time, but I did notice it running last winter

yes, I like to fish the point where the channel enters the lake. I can make the cast from the boat ramp but there is a lot of snags in between
