I've had both elbows injected. Hurt like a bich and I cried like a gurl ! Doc ordered me some Tylenol with codeine for the pain along with ice on the elbow. But in the long run it fixed my pain. The right elbow quit hurting immediately but it took 3 weeks for the left. Been 3 years on my left elbow and 6 years on the right,

3 in the right shoulder, NOT FUN!!!!

I have had shots to both shoulders for last 8 years.
It makes the pain go away but there is times you can do more damage than good. I will be having surgery on my left shoulder in December it is 70% torn.My right will be done as soon as I am done with the healing process on my left side.
So the shots are good and bad .........good luck

Well...the doc said no to the shot without a MRI but my ankle "looked" broke.

Had a doc ask me one time after a MRI when did I break my ankle? I said never....He said....Well then tell me when your ankle hurt like he!! for a long time then

I've had a few in my long career as a beat up, jostled around, limp-d__k, sud-sucker and all I can say is Mark McGuire can't hold a candle to me. Everyone of my doctors has told me "You bastage ex-athletes have no pain threshold."

If you've ever had debris sucked outta your knees, Texdawg just ID'd the utensile that do it and I didn't even need a deadening shot....

i had one in my neck area back in highschool, they first deaden my neck with a antistatic shot then the doc said you will feel a little pain, when that sob hit my mussle with the cor/shot i almost went through the freak'n roof lying bastages but it did help

I had 2 in the knee 2 in in the top of my foot and 1 in the spine and 3 in my heel......They dont last for ever but they do help.

Yes. Doctor said it was an inflames ligament. Hurt like hell. Couldn't drive the truck or hardly walk on it. Took myself to the clinic. Doc examined me then brought out this big old hypo full of some milky looking stuff. That dang needle had to be 3 or 4 inches long. It hurt going in but that cortisone went to work immediately. Like a warm flood going through my knee. He massaged the knee a bit and I had no more pain.
I truly grateful until I had to fork over the $365 for the privilege.
