Started our trip about 9 am Monday,I always start my boat before i go.Got to the boat ramp on hiwy 3 and battery was dead we got a jump and off we went!.Stopped at my first bait catchin spot and no bait to be had. Then went to my second spot and got a few finger mullet. In most cases I have way enough bait large shad and finger mullet,Not the case so off to the last spot and we did manage to catch a couple of dozen but had to cast my arm off lol.no shad to be had any where!.Went to my first honey hole and fished there we did have fresh dead shrimp with us so all wasnt lost.Right away bam!! red were hittin bigtime we boated 15 rats with 2 keepers lots of fun most was in the 16 to 20 inch range! also a few specks in the 13 to 15 inch range. After about an hour of non stop fun it slowed a bit so off to another spot.right away bam!! boated more rats same size with 1 keeper 24 inches.we decide to go to moses lake, tide was moving hard out and nothing was hitting so we went back.We stopped at the 146 bridge and checked out the ramp its in good shape and nice to boot!.Talked to a guy he just came in said he was on trout all morning back in the bayou on Gulp shad and live shrimp.Left um bittin!!.We decide to pick up live shrimp and headed back out and tried the live shrimp under a poppin cork and bam! here we go again specks 15 to 17 inches reds to 18 inches with 1 keeper red at 22 inches.stopped back at my first honey hole and bam non stop action untill we ran out of bait headed in close to 4pm with 4 keeper reds 4 nice sand trout and tired!!lol.Hot action all day what a trip! Im guessing flounder should start to pick up soon.Im sure it a sign of good things to come.............Tide

Went to Dickinson Bayou yesterday(Monday)water was real dirty and not real salty. We went to 146 bridge and got bait (live shrimp)and headed to Moses Lake inlet.Tide was running our very hard! water coming from the lake was muddy. We fished the edge of the dirty water and clear is didnt get a bite.headed over to the gas rigs and did manage a few under size reds and one black drum.Biggest drum ive ever seen much less caught.I took pic on my cell if someone knows how to get them on here i can post them.other that that slow day the water didnt clear up till we got out in the bay so im guessing that with all the rain we had last week its going to take at least a couple more for it to ever start clearing...........Tide
