this will be my first and probably my last trip to choke canyon. i am open to any and all suggestions. location, depth, grass, trees, deep structure, flats, favorite rig, secrete spots (lol). although they would be safe with me. just one double digit fish and i will be as happy as a pig in fresh mud. thank you in advance.

You will definitly need to take some TNT. JK, fish slow and deep say 12 to 25 or so. Try C/rig, drop shot on heavier line, and cranks. Best bet is to try to locate the baitfish, I couldn't find them hope you do. If this doesn;t work, after you pull your boat out go ahead and fill that lake with concrete. Good luck to you.

First and last?! I don't think so. Once you've been to that lake, you just gotta keep on coming. I love that lake even tho I don't get to fish it that often so I can't offer any advice, except that I can only imagine how incredible the shallow bite will probably be in a couple of weeks or so - but it doesn't seem like you're in a position to wait. In any case, good luck and post a report when you're done! smile
