Man I'm just glad to know someone else tries to fish it, still going to try in the morning. If nothing else it's a beautiful weekend on the lake. If We get a little wind will try and drift. Looking outside and there is no wind at this time.

The Blue Cat bite has been off for a month.
I did catch some Channels (2-4 lbs) way back in the coves over flooded vegitation the other day.

Trolled today from 1 - 5 and ended up with 1 white, 1 striper and 3 LM bass. 1 LM was a keeper and the white was keeper size although I didn't keep them.

Let us know if you find the fish!

Well was definitely a beautiful afternoon on the lake but once again I didn’t find the fish, anchored and fished up around Canyon Park I probably should have drifted. Oh well there is always next time. Lets keep posting.

Let us know how you do. I have been out three times in the last few weeks with only one fish boated. I gotta get the skunk off my boat. I haven't caught a decent fish off it in freshwater. Canyon Lake is my home lake and I can't let it get the best of me.

Will be out again on the 14th.

We've been anchored. Fishing with Shad, but next trip we are going to try a buffet. I'll get some shad, shrimp and crawdads, I'll figure this out. Read a lot of Tiny's posts and website...good thing is, can only get better!

I netted about 5 shad, was enough for the trip since we didn't boat a fish. Not sure how hard it will be to net some shad during the winter, we'll see.

Tiny's site says to try to use fresh shad and keep away from the frozen, but if it's all you have...it's all you have.

I went out with Cliff Hill and we killed them...I have the same name, used the same bait...maybe I need to grow a goatee or something. It may be the hat too....started wearing a Georgia Bulldog hat instead of the Atlanta Braves hat...caught tons of fish(saltwater) with the Atlanta Braves hat and nada with the Bulldog hat...will change out for the next trip and see how that does. Still pretty new to this freshwater fishing, but I'll get it down.

I have six jug lines I may throw out...need to do some work on them, but they can let you know if the fish are there or not.

If you see me out there, flag me down or something.

See ya on the water,
SportFisher

I got a message from Travis at the Tackle Box and he said they caught several nice ones up in the river last week. IF my new prop comes in this week, I may give that a try this weekend.

Tall Tale, I've been out with Sportdeck lately. I'm trying to get my pathetic bass boat set up for cats, so once I get that taken care of, I'll be out there during the middle of the week (Sportdeck only has weekends off). If you see my boat, say hello!

Lol! I need to quit making posts at midnight after a 12 hour shift! I'll take the hit on the sunglasses after sundown. I was fixated on that lit bobber like a moth to a flame.

I think this sunday I'm going to LBJ to fish with my cousin will report how we did. Steven168 I thought i saw on Bee Ready site that he had a mount to add to your fishing chairs, thought that may work for your boat. If ya'll find em give a heads up.
