I use one pretty much all the time. Easiest way to get your meth/pack out at distance. I use the Wacker blaster and it works great. I know Richard was making them from 1 liter bottles I think?

Richard gave me one he made out of half a whiffle ball; I had a lot of trouble with it, though; I was making my method balls too big.
I bought one of the Resistance slings but haven't used it yet.

Best bet is to buy a water balloon launcher from one of the sporting goods stores. That way you do not need another fishing rod to get the method out. You can be very accurate with it also.

If i remember correctly though the water balloon launcher takes three people to operate, two people holding either end and one person launching. Most of the time i fish by myself or the mrs will join me on occasion so a method sling would be easier for me to use.

well not really, you can do it yourself but there is a rish of hitting yourself in the face or chest. you just put one foot on the lil strap on the pouck aim it out and pull up and relese your foot. and you dont really need another rod, just get 2 rods out and the third one use it to chum your area and then rig it up and put it out or just use 2 rods.

This is a great method and it can easily be done with one person.

Both the 100 and 200 yard launchers work very well and can launch method balls as far as you can cast. They can also be used for range cubes. Just be sure to turn your face away at the point of release. I've seen a couple bloody noses and some broken glasses.

Cut a whiffle ball in half.

Attach a piece of floating foam on the bottom with a cable tie, this helps the ball release.

Attach a stiff piece of line to each side and tie to a swivel.

Make the balls around the size of a golf ball and release on the cast a little higher than normal.

You can put ground bait balls around 120 yards!
