Well we wanted some water and boy did we get it. When we left today they told me they would probably even close Johnson Branch today. That would leave Sanger, IDB and Jordan. We launched today at Johnson because of the North winds and when we loaded up this afternoon the water was almost on the pavement. Fishing has been improving, you just have to cover a lot of water to get the fish. Today the shallow bite was better than yesterday. Flukes, spinnerbaits, and baby brush hogs have worked the best. Before the higher water a trap was working well. It's funny we aren't getting more fish on a moving bait. We have had a bunch of fish chase the fluke to the top when we are reeling it in, but tried all kinds of baits to get them to chase and have had limited success. The best fish today was on a Revenge Bluegill spinnerbait.

For a nasty day they ate pretty good today. Lot of little fish but it kept it fun. The lake is pretty muddy in places. IDB and Buck are pretty nasty. Indian is pretty dirty more than half way back, but not terrible.

The sandbass were going nuts on Saturday. Cleaned an easy limit for my customers. 1oz slabs worked the best. Color didn't matter. Once you found them they were there thick. Most were in 28 to 35 feet of water.

Thanks

Dannie
