let me think the last cats i've caught have all been in normally shallow running creeks 4'-6' but now seeing is as how the water level is high especially on the vine, my suggestion is go into a creek like so but get as far as you can into the creek and this is what i do, is get a 5 gallon paint bucket, no paint and drill several holes into it small or large but no bigger than 3/4 inch and then load it up with dog food some alf alfa grass and some whole kernal sweet corn i suggest the corn last and in between the layers put in layers of either canned dog food or bread, and paint it black as it is harder to find, tie it up to a tree trunk, and throw a marker or something on it and this way if someone cuts the maker off you can get a hook on it and rebait it, this will bring in all sorts of baitfish in and heck you may even try some whole shad inside this as well.

but let it sit for an hour or two and get back there and begin fishing and you'll have luck with some cats if they're in you're location but as i said i'm not going to give any real freebies to anyone, unless they decide they want to test it out with me, but you just give this a try and see what happens, i already know that it draws all kinds of bait in and any fish that are feed on these as well, their is on particular spot that i've got like this but we're going to leave it unamed to everyone except my father brother and i, also their are usually tons of shad there as well.

What lake you fishing Stevie? I'm probably going to head out to EM tomorrow to see if my spot will "stack up" like yours do. LOL Where do you think I should start? I'm probably going to use shad. This time of year, with this high pressure system over us, and the full moon, what should I look for?
