Thinking about making a few of these up this winter in different colors and selling them in the spring to make some gas money for the boat.

Take selling a lot to get any gas money. Good luck! Good and hope it works for you. At the very least, you will have plenty of heads ready for your fishing in the Spring.

I just ordered some more sickle jigheads so hopefully they will be in before the weekend so I can do some more. I'm gonna pick up some pink, blue and silver powder coating as well. Figure if I do a little each weekend I'll be ready to go for next year.

great job Stretch...
Look like you are on the right path. Whatever you do, keep those hooks' eyes open prior to marketing them to your fellow anglers like the one on your pix. That would always be a plus. No one likes to have to open up eyes to tie on the line while being on the water. Even if it cost you more time to charge a touch extra is still better than a quick job at lesser cost...My 2 cents

yes sir, I'm gonna build a holder to hold 25 of them at a time that will cover the eye and hook so it will only cover the jighead with powder, gonna pick up a cheap toaster oven at wal mart tonight. I did a lot of reading about it last night and got some good ideas to make these look professionally done. I'll post another pic once I have some that look better.

got the powder at bass pro. the sickle hook jigheads came from finnytribe.com was really easy to do but took forever doing them one at a time last night, did about 50 of them in an hour.

just ordered some teflon blocks to make the holders from mcmaster.com and some teflon tubing to cover the eyes with.

should be able to do about 20-25 at a time depending on the internal dimensions of the toaster oven I get tonight.

This will give me something to do this winter since its gonna be a cold one this year.

Picked up my toaster oven and my teflon pieces came in to make the holders. I think this oven will hold about 80 jigheads at one time so I can make 80 and cure them all at the same time.

Make sure and do them out in the garage or the Mrs.'s will have you for toast.
