patience is a virtue you know. it takes time to build precesion items like this. It works perfect. I'll post pics later tonight.

Process is you heat up the jigheads in the toaster oven, spray the powder on and reheat to cure the powder. Done.

Don't you waste powder that way?

Here's my curing rack, easily cure 110 jigs at once. Cheap, had the wire and used the rack pan that came in the oven. Here's the ones I cured tonight.

I think I can recover most of the powder that doesnt adhere to the jig and the price per jig is so minuscule I don't think it will be a huge cost issue. But we shall see. This is going to be fun for sure.

Here is 1 of the holders I made tonight. I'm gonna add 3 more to the tray to do a total of 36 at a time.

Long story short I used to do powder coating on a much larger scale. I had an oven that was 7' tall x 4' wide x 3' deep in my garage (weighed about 2,000 lbs and had 4 normal oven heating elements in it) with a full spray booth and sandblasting room. Needless to say that little venture didnt work out and I lost a lot of money. I did powder coat some really nice parts though. I'll dig us some pics if I can find them tomorrow. Bead lock rings and every single nut, bolt and washer that went with them (about 30 per wheel) for offroad rockcrawlers and differential covers that take a beating and let me tell you if powder coating can hold up to what those guys and I used to put those parts through I guarentee that these little jig heads should hold up just fine. I'm thinking about ordering the real powder coating instead of these little $6 jars from bass pro shops to use on mine. Powder is cheap if I remember correctly, I think for about $15 you can get like 2 lbs of powder vs 2oz for $6.
