[font:Comic Sans MS][color:#FF0000]Don't you waste powder that way?
I think I can recover most of the powder that doesnt adhere to the jig and the price per jig is so minuscule I don't think it will be a huge cost issue. But we shall see. This is going to be fun for sure.
Here is 1 of the holders I made tonight. I'm gonna add 3 more to the tray to do a total of 36 at a time.
Long story short I used to do powder coating on a much larger scale. I had an oven that was 7' tall x 4' wide x 3' deep in my garage (weighed about 2,000 lbs and had 4 normal oven heating elements in it) with a full spray booth and sandblasting room. Needless to say that little venture didnt work out and I lost a lot of money. I did powder coat some really nice parts though. I'll dig us some pics if I can find them tomorrow. Bead lock rings and every single nut, bolt and washer that went with them (about 30 per wheel) for offroad rockcrawlers and differential covers that take a beating and let me tell you if powder coating can hold up to what those guys and I used to put those parts through I guarentee that these little jig heads should hold up just fine. I'm thinking about ordering the real powder coating instead of these little $6 jars from bass pro shops to use on mine. Powder is cheap if I remember correctly, I think for about $15 you can get like 2 lbs of powder vs 2oz for $6.
