First thing you gotta do is learn how to spell BOUDIN! I like mine on a cracker with some mustard.

It is Boudin, I was raised on the stuff. Too much trouble to make it. Every time we make a trip home to South Louisiana, we bring back 100+lbs depending on what the neighbors and friends want.

Can't beat Guillory's market in Pine Prairie, La.: http://www.guillorys-specialtymeats.com

Boudain (aka Boudin) | Real Cajun Cooking - Pure and Simple.....

google search.

Seems to me both ways are acceptable as long as ya pronounce it right.

Best place to get it is outside Lafayette in Scott, LA, at Best Stop Supermarket. Take the Scott exit, go north about a mile, and it's on your left...

I picked up 30 pounds last weekend...

Port Neches/Groves in the Golden Triangle had a drive-in grocery store that had some really good boudain...sure was some good stuff and also a place in Evadale had some that was REAL close to it too.

Best I ever had was in Bunkie,LA from a little Soul Food cooking joint and it was the best I've ever eaten, but that was over 25 yrs ago.

I have two favorite locales for buying BOUDIN. Strohe's Meat Market in Welsh and Boudin King in Jennings. If I could only pick one it would be the Boudin King.

Do they ship? I love me some Boudin...really is one of my favorites for breakfast with eggs...lunch by itself, snack by itself, dinner...whenever!!!

I was reading up on places to buy Boudin last night! Thinking about doing a Turducken from the CajunGrocer.com...anyone ever buy from them?
