The south ramp has never been closed, just not enough water level to work it. Not sure the lake yet has enough level to make it viable again. It should be at best marginal. Beware of two big concrete chunks of up turned ramp in the southern most lane. When this ramp has just enough water to launch boats those chunks will be about a boat length off the water edge.

Might know by Sunday morning the viablility of that ramp.

We went today. Park officials said the south ramp was "closed".

Saw a 21 ft skeeter launched and retrieved today from that "closed" ramp.

The boat barely floated off the trailer, but it did float. He trolled over the berm coming back in.

I motored into the concrete ramp, but my skag kluncked a rock on the way in.

Net net, we still have a one access lane lake. Winter tourney traffic is going to be a zoo.

main lake fish are 22' and up, none of 8 bigger than 23". 11-13" dinks will hit TNT silver slabs almost continuously. I lost count how many.

Water Temp a launch ramp was 75 F, most of north lake 71-73 F, both stations showing smoke at mid afternoon, 86 F hot outfall, and a low to modest flow.

Will somebody explain whats up? This lake should be at full pool by now. Either their is a diversion project,or some dam leakage!

Too small and a very specific water shed. It has taken a lot of rain to re-saturate that soil so there could be run off. There are also farm ponds that needed to be refilled in that drainage as well.

Some of the problem is the fisherman's perspective. The power company is running a business as inexpensively as they know how. Their business is not making sure fisherman have the most pleasure. We boat on and fish in a device of their business.

The water shed was selected too small originally for rainfalls/climate and we all have to make due with what's there now. We need to be thankful for what we have access to, this could have become restricted like Squaw Creek became.

The lake doesn't get a whole lot of run off either.

On Monday, the north ramp was in excellent shape. The lake level seemed to be up about a foot above last time I was there. If you use the middle of the ramp, the north ramp, it just isn't a problem.

The ramp by the dam is ok but it has started to crack so it is starting to get a V shape to it. It isn't a problem when you unload but it does cause some people a little aggrivation when they try to load back up. Don't let that stop you from coming out though. The fishing is starting to pick up quite a bit.
