Hello to all fishing Buchanan area. Coming up for a week in late November and wondering if anyone had fishing reports and any info on boat launch locations/boating on the lake. I've fished the lake for 30 years about 2x/year on average and have only been out in a boat in 06 where water level was at least comparably low. So, any reports/info would be greatly appreciated.

I was out there about a month ago, launched the kayak from Burnet County Park, it was closed to PB at that time, but with all the rain who knows? It probably needed at least 10 feet to think about opening it at that time. No traffic on the water though. At least ya got Inks and LBJ right there as well I guess, but I'd bet Buch is better now....wish I had better info for ya, but at least something half way recent...

Yesterday, I saw on another forum that Buchanan has come up about 2 feet over the last month. They said it wasn't enough to open any of the ramps and that the only way to launch was with a 4wd vehicle.

Thanks gjarman and Jmantex! Yeah, it's been coming up slow but steady. Almost a 5 foot rise in month and a half...long way to go though.
