I know who ya'll are talkin about too. snagged him once and he looked like it was the end of the world. Pretty funny how he overreacted. Im down to go out there with ya'll one day and take turns snagging his line if ya'll want.

Is it the guy when he casts out it sound like weed eater line coming off his rod guides. White poles. Sounds like he has 100lb eagle claw line on his spinning reels. Cast like 30 yards. noidea

Id rather just find a spot where I dont have to worry about it, but if I did get snagged.. yeah go ahead and cut it. I was probably just going to get it hung up and have to cut it anyway.

I pretty much expect to lose my entire rig every cast, that way when I manage to get it back, I'm happy.. and when I manage to get it back with a fish attached, I'm thrilled.

hahha. the only issue is that if you throw your 1inch punch, you will be 2 inches short from actually hitting him. why not just pee in his mouth

i am going to hit the Dam around 6:45-7pm tonight..anyone want to help a brother out? I am a novice at the dam fishing...figure i'd try crawfish tails under a bobber and let it drift W/ the current. It that doesnt work i'll try a Mann's Little George...P.m. me if anyone can help me land some hybrids tonight..

I wouldn't fish a bobber and let it drift down. That would piss off lots of people

I mean most of the people there are doing something illegal, like no fishing license or keeping undersized fish. Some people will keep everything they catch, i mean what are they going to do with a 6 inch channel cat?

1 6inch cat = 1 mini fish stick . so 200 6inch cats = fishstick buffet. lol

hahahahaha, i guess the meat is more tender on the little ones but to filet 200 six inch channel cats would require a lot of patients.

My brother and i where at the dam on Sunday morning/afternoon. We both caught our limits on sandbass and went home to clean them. I've never cleaned any kind of fish before, but after cleaning my half, i can tell you it takes more time than you think. (or maybe i just suck at making fillets out of them.) Notes about the damm. Be prepared for other fishermen to get tangled with your line and vice versa. If that's not something you can handle don't even bother. We caught 99% of the fish on jig heads (charteuse). If any of the nearest gates are open, you should do very well. Just cast out about 1 ft from the current and you should immediately feel them biting. But don't let the current take your bait/lure for a ride because you will miss out. They were also biting pretty good near the wall.

P.S. A 3 inch leader with a 3way swivel attached to a bobber with weight was used.

On a side note, i wish the Game Warden would have shown up. There was a guy that was making me nervous. He was walking/standing on the railing!!! He could have fallen off the edge into the water and gotten hurt or even drowned. Another guy that was there warned him to get down because he would have been in some trouble if the Warden saw him. Regardless, that was just plain stupid and careless.

+1

On the road that connects the dam road and 78 and theres a little pulloff there that you can access the river. Will probably be empty of other people if you want to float a bobber in the current.
