Simple and sweet the lake is absolutely flooded, but I found a spot out of the wind and fished anyway. I caught 5 carp the biggest about 8lbs and 3 channel cats the biggest being about 2 lbs. Cols wet and windy but darnit still better than being in the house.

great job bart . i went for a couple of hoursafter work today and managed to catch one common (about 5lbs) and one buff (about 15lbs) . the wind was high and the water looked like the coast haha what bait did they hit for you ? mine was on flavored maize .

A home made doughbait made with jello, bisquich and potatoe flakes and the last one on corn cause I lost all my bait lol

do you use feeders and hair rigs etc ? if not this will be a good place to learn to tie rigs and stuff

I am just getting back into carp fishing I just used plain ole dough bait on a #4 circle hook behind an egg sinker. Worked like a charm today. But I am very interested in learning about boilies and hair rigs and all that.

I don't think alot of people fish for carp where I was fishing they weren't shy at all.
