I wouldn't cut so hard towards that first long point on the left as you go towards the dam. stay more towards the middle there and go a straight line say 50 yards off the highline point and you should be ok.

You can run until the first powerline and idle until the next powerline and then run on plane to the intake

I wouldn't. Some can, but very, very few. Heath that posted on here is as good as they get there and he doesn't run it.

I started fishing that Lake the day it opened. The lower end of the lake is tricky now, especially when the water gets up. I know the way to run all the way to the back but "WOULD NOT" suggest that for anyone! Just idle or follow some one. I really want to go there right now with all this talk!

your red line that you drew has your first turn and second turn take you directly over some timber. Hugging the points midlake as you've drawn is correct, but if the lake is up 3 foot as folks have said there are a few large trees in the area where your red line stops. They're visible by about 6" at normal pool... but not when it's up.

Diagram I did for our club last year. Obviously just a rough guide.

I've seen a couple of people run to the north end and it just blows my mind they don't hit anything. I like my boat too much to risk it. I idle the path they took and hit stumps. the only time I've ever ran to the north end was in a flat bottom going about 15 mph.

yeah, I've seen some folks run a good ways up north
no way I'm doing that, like Heath said, I've idled in those same paths & slid over more than a few stumps
