Fished Tues after the front, blue sky with light, calm wind. Fished 4 fingers, Possum Creek, Mason area and couldn't find the fish. Friend caught on on Junebug lizard close to Calliham. We worked the grass lines with traps,sb, and shallow squared bill sexy shad.

Today, went up Elm Creek and San Miguel and worked the hyacinth and timber, five fish total, 4lb largest. Wind was kicking after 9am. Brush hog Tx rigged was the best lure.

Tough two days on the water. Most of the guys we talked to said it was tough for them also. Best part was hanging out with my old Army buddy.

How is the lake level after all the rain? I know it was real low up the San Miguel the last few times I was there.

The lake is very low.Rain upstream doesn't seem to make much difference other than making the water off colored. Fished 5 hrs Tuesday caught 1 fish.

The San Miguel isn't as low as Possum Creek. Water level drops rapidly away from the creek channel. Last year this time, we were catching up to 70 bass up the Frio river, but the low water levels have taken alot of those areas away. Hope this helps.
