Yep, saw that yesterday.
I keep feeding mine 1/32oz jigs but it hasn't helped.
Wonder why? hammer

Just kidding of course. One good thing about not releasing our crappie is that kinda thing would show up on the cleaning table after the weigh in.

Yes, I frequent the Bass Section and read that story and all the comments, good and bad. I stopped keeping up with it, too much reading, posts coming in too fast. I read the official news story release and finished with that. So sad, but according to so many accounts over the years it was bound to come to this, that is getting caught. I think it's a very stupid thing to do, and very brazen to think he could do that and believe he would not get caught. I guess greed got to him. Too bad, but glad it if happened that he got caught at it.

Ok, no 3# Crappie, I'm gonna check if you bring one to weigh-in. rolfmao

we used to fish bass champs. does anyone know how the cheating was discovered? often wondered if guys during prefish were putting fish in traps out in the lake or met up with others who brought fish for them lead in a fish is too obvious. never thought about that one.

After the fish was weighed in it was put in a holding tank, the fish stayed on the bottom prompting closer inspection by the TD and the weight was discovered. Robby was in the process of a polygraph, the TD said that would not be necessary and asked him to inspect the bass with the officials, they felt the weight in it's stomach and told him he could remove it or they would. The weight was massaged out of the fish without harm to the fish. They kept it in a chemically treated oxygenated tank until the fish seemed to be ok, then it was released. The weight was a 1# saltwater lead.
