Myself and a couple of buddies of mine are planning a trip to Grand Isle, LA in the first or second week of December or early January. I have connections to a couple of fish camp cabins that have 4 bedrooms and are really cheap. We are exploring the option of just camping out at the state park to make this even cheaper for everybody. We are thinking a long 3 day weekend would make a great trip. Leave Thursday night and drive until you get there, sleep for a couple of hours and get up and fish Friday, Saturday and early Sunday morning and then leave for the drive back. If you would be interested in something like this, let me know and I will start getting some rough costs together for everyone. In December and January it is not uncommon to see 30"+ fish.

Thanks,
Cole

I am so interested, but that's a 10 hour drive for me. I am wanting to make a trip to the Gulf near Galveston and try to hook up w/ some Reds.

If you could hook up and ride with someone and split gas would that be an option for you? I know I can get 4 guys in my truck (crewcab) with kayaks in tow.

That sounds like a fun trip. I'm interested. Just let me know cost and dates and I'll see if I can join you!
