A man from FLW just called to inform me that the 2010 schedule will be released later this afternoon. He said there will be some changes with this years events and to look for the press release on their website this afternoon... who knows whether or not it will actually be released today!!

Wow, what a cluster the Stren has become. Ya'll better fish it while it's available cause I believe the Texas Stren is on it's way out.

It doens't mention a BFL Regional either...only the All-American Tournament.

Not really that impressive payout with the entry fee as high as it is.

Based on a 200 field at $825, that means they are keeping $55,500. So the fishermen are just fishing for their own money and Stren is putting away over $55,000

If they can add contingency money like the past then that is worth while. Otherwise Bass Champs has the best deal going. $280 per team for $20 grand...

Plus, I'm out on traveling all the way to South and Southeast Texas every tournament.

Wow..... Like we all kept saying... "wait until tomorrow and see what they changed last night". Dropping the 4th lake and only having 3 tournaments is bad!! AOY award won't mean near us much now with only 3 tourneys and the championship being an invitational and not just the top 40. We lost the TTT and I fear that the Stren is taking it's last breath. I would hate to lose the Stren!!!!!

IT actually says based on 150 field for the payout given. That gets even worse.

That means Stren is holding back $14,250. If they don't get the 150, they are going to prorate the money.

Did you guys notice that there is a comment box at the bottom of that release to express your views???

Kind of glad I sold my Ranger. I do miss fishing them though.

Looks like the Stren is paying back about 88% while the tour is paying back 120%. Interesting.

are yall sure they dropped the last event last year when it came out if you looked on the web it would only show the first 3 and until a few weeks ago would still do it but there were 4

falcon and rayburn should be on really good.... its only 3 tournaments but it seems like a pretty good schedule.... im just glad they are actually HAVING the stren...

I guess what I don't understand is why limit the field to 150? Both Falcon and Rayburn were filled at 200 this year (2009 Stren) and only Toledo had a poor turnout (which is usually the case for the last tournament of the year). Unless you're in the top 40 for this years (2009) Stren or BFL and can sign up on November 2nd, I think it will be very hard to get confirmed in all three Stren tournaments for 2010.............................but I sure hope I'm wrong.

I talked to the guys at FLW this morning before the press release and they informed me that the BFL regional for 2010 will be held at Texoma Oct 21st-23rd. This is the way they are trying to draw the dallas area guys to east Texas for the qualifying events. Oh, and as an added bonus the BASS Open is being held on the VERY SAME DAYS. i know it's a big lake, but close to 400 quality sticks on that lake at once will be a huge challenge for all! Not sure I understand the logic there...

So what is the word on the BFL's. They were not listed in the FLW press release.

Wow, BFL Cowboy is on same days as 2-Media, and 2 BassNBucks.. On 4-17 the Rayburn tx also has Sealy, Media, Anglers Quest all on Rayburn --all on the same day.. 3 on Rayburn during Sealy's Big Bass...should be really interesting...

I am surprise that BFL would bump head with BnB twice since both have Ranger as boat sponsor..

I can not believe they would have the regional the same day as the BASS open. That is ridiculous. FLW is digging a hole.

You guys that live in Texas have lots of big tournament opportunities that most of the rest of the country doesn't have. Losing some opportunities offered by FLW won't impact you nearly as much as it would if you lived most anywhere else in the country. Practically any weekend offers a big money tournament in Texas and lots more trails are available.

I live in Tennessee and wish we had half the tournaments yall do.

Anglers Quest out of Mill Creek, Media out of Jackson Hill, BFL out of Twin Dikes... And Sealy out of every ramp on the Lake.. Sealy has it made.. the other 3 Tournament Directors will have a challenge..

Just got word the the BFL date will be changed. Not sure of the new date but it won't be on the Sealy weekend.

Smart decision by BFL. I also heard that Angler's Quest was changing their schedule. That leaves Media.. surely they'll change also. Jackson Hill is always wrapped up on McDonald day plus there would be no lodging.
