Went juglining Saturday at Steele Creek. Water temp was 64-65 degrees which is down from 73 the previous weekend. Caught several blue cats ranging from 3-9 lbs using cutbait. Lake has finally started coming up and currently is only 3' low. Fish were caught in 20-32' of water

FishHauler I was curious what area of Whitney do you usually do your guided trips for blue cats on. My wife really wants to catch some fish and she's convinced she's "cursed".

LOL, I am not one for "spots"
I have caught fish all over that lake. There are certian areas that have the right depth for the right time of year, but several of them can be good right now.
To tell the truth, when the water is running thru that lake, I stay on either Limestone or Waco, there are too many feeder creeks on that lake to work the running water, and too much current coming thru when it is flowing.
Since Lake Waco is closed and Whitney is running, it is either the Bosque River behind Waco for me or Limestone.

How far up Steele Creek did you go? Did you go up creek from the ramp or out in the creek towards the main lake from the ramp? A buddy of mine here at work fishes up in the creek in the shallow areas and catches lots of channels but he boat fishes.

I usually fish on the lakeside (Red Bluff side). I've been fishing there for a long time, but have never fished up Steele Creek
