Being from W TX I didn't know this guy, just heard of him. I really can't see how he could have been that good of a fisherman if he never produced with an observer, camera, or draw partner. Also, if the allegations of the Lake Fork guide are true, then he NEEDED a guide to catch a large fish on "America's Best Big Fish Lake...". I, therefore, question, as others have, why he was always defended so vehemently on this website...and where are those folks now?

It is a scary notion that he was that confident he would not be questioned or that for some reason he thought he was going to get away with it....something else is going on. I am just glad that I don't fish the big $ tourneys.

Just some thoughts from way out west!

all that stuff on stage about his faith was just "smoke and mirrors".... disguising his true inner workings.. how many of the seven deadly sins has he broken? you think his judgement day will be easy? you think the good lord just forgives with no remorse? why were there so many bloody battles in the bible? I think using the lords name to protect your sins is probably one of the worst sins you can make besides murder.... Karma got him, now GOD will punish him...

I expect all waypoints have been deleated.. Like many have stated, I do feel sorry for his wife, kids and family, but then I read where he won a couple of tournaments fishing with his wife.. So...who knows..

What is this an episode of Matlock.....

Lot's of speculation being thrown around here. Let's just wait and see what evidence they supply.

A buddy of mine was fishing the Bass Champs tourney on Lewisville a couple years ago, it was the one that the wind was terrible, my buddy was basically stuck in the Pier 121 marina fishing the slips all day, about noon he noticed a bass boat in a slip with an angler laying in the boat asleep, it was none other than mr rose, I think it is the tourney where he miracuously caught a big sack the last hour of the tourney. I know of another strange robby rose story , the jest of it was he was on another lake the day before a tourney fishing, this lake had no tourneys on it, I guess he could have been fun fishing. He did win the tourney on Cedar Creek the next day. This also came from a very reliable source who chose not to say anything for fear of being called a sore loser.

What up Vu? You desert rat lol.
There aren't many Texas lakes as small as Tucsons Patagonia. Where you have to shut down your motor after getting on plane so you don't hit the oppposite shore line lol.
Things are just bigger here in Texas!

PS you and Tai should come out to Fork.

Rest assured his boat is clean as a pin now. Being that he was allowed to drive home, I bet he removed all evidence quickly. I bet you cant even find a single split shot in his boat now. That is a shame that the authorities did not search his boat at the sceen. I would like to have know what ropes, nets, stong monofilament,or heavy weights he had on board. No doubt it was pre-meditated. How many people carry a one pound lead saltwater weight? That was his insurance policy.

I am just glad Tim caught a bigger fish than what Robby was going to weigh before the weight was added. If not, Robby would have won with his 9 1/2, passed the polygraph as always, and the beat would go on and on...

Thanks Tim and a sincere congrats!!

The only time I ever fished against Robby was the BC tournament on Texoma a couple of years back when it was the Tx/Ok Shootout. The talk before the event was that it would take 16 lbs to win. Well Robby comes in with 16 lbs and is beat by a couple of guys who had 18 or 19 lbs. Most were surprised at their bag. Chris B and I ended up in 10th that day.

Anyway, Robby gets up on stage and talks this talk about how you should never give up. He mentions having the 16 lbs and how he spent the last few hours tied up in a slip drinking iced tea. That always struck me as very odd. How can you be uber competitive and sit out part of the day during a tourney? The two ideas still don't gel for me.

Still looking for anyone that actually knows FACTS about the "lake fork bass" that it has been said that he caught the day before with a guide! Please PM me if you know anything.

Also; interested in knowing how many tournament or pleasure anglers would be willing to show up at the courthouse on the day that Robby has his court hearing?

I've got one for you.

His lawyer will try to have the whole case thrown out because he will say there is no way Mr. Rose can get a fair trial. He will say his client was already found guilty on the internet.

He is and will be found guilty because he never fought back at the weigh-in. If i was to weigh in a fish that had a weight in it and i actually did not put it in there, I'm not leaving without my money. Since he did leave and did not request for his money shows some sign of guilt that he put it in there. They will ask him why he forfeited his money if indeed he didnot put the weight in there. HE IS ******* GUILTY thats all folks. Noone gets acused of a crime that they did not do without a fight.
