I saw a fishing vid on youtube where they were using glowing planar bobbers so I wanted to try attaching a 6" glowstick to the rig behind the swivel but before the slip sinker and a 12" leader to a circle hook. I set the same rig up without a glowstick on a diff pole. Bait was shad scaled and cut one side off to make it bleed.
The bell on the glowstick rig went off more than the other, but only one ever mouthed the bait. Both rigs caught similar channel cats (18" 19")
Pretty inconclusive, didn't seem to hamper the fishing, but they werent hitting it like gangbusters.
Has anyone else tried using glowsticks?
