Work night shift and got off early enough to catch some sleep and was ready for when the rain let up around lunch.In between flash floods and heavy rain storms was able to hit Weatherford Lake for a few hours .Tough day /64* temps air /water, cloudy sky/water, windy 15+mph w/heavy gusts .You know the kind of day when the bass aren`t biteing you wish you had stayed in bed.Was throwing everything with no luck for 3 hours .Knew i had to be off the lake before 4 to beat lighting storms coming back around. Went back to old faithfull my jig rod and started pitching docks in the wind.Just knew that i would get something even if it was a small one to get the smell of skunk off the boat.As my luck would have it lately i felt a small hit and set the hook on a 7.5#er.Been ask what do i want when i go fishing ? Some little bass or one nice one.I`ll take the one nice one every time.

Seriously though, this little lake has some good fish in it. But can be a little finicky for people that don't want to put their time in on it.
