head over to granger and try some of the parks you might have to pay to get in i know the water is up so some of the other bank spots are under give it a few weeks and let the water come back and go check it out. P.S. get a lake map it will help you out

lake georgetown - whites, hybrids, largemouth, spotted, and crappie

crappie bite the least and they are smaller.

i went to the spillway on granger yesterday and caught about 20 crappie on small minnows. also caught 1 foot and half long gar. about 6 of them were keepers and the rest were a shy under the limit. i released them all. i really whould like to find a good cat hole if i could.

I will ping you when I can get to grainger.
Lake Georgetown, lots of great places to fish, but they are under 25 feet of water now. It has been windy too, so I haven't figured out yet how to fish the lake from the shore - starting over.

I can barely cast to places I was standing Aug 30.

No problem, I don't care if I catch another fish the rest of the year, we finally received water and that is great.

Sounds like a BIG cat or perhaps a gar.

Never heard of any blues big enough to do that in G-town. Really interesting as to what it might have been. Caught some really big carp and some small cats at the overlook in the cove right at the edge of the brush. Maybe we should meet up there sometime and I could show you some of the other spots and give u some advice on G-town and Granger. I fish them both heavily in the spring and do really well out at Granger up the river in the spring time.
