Those rods are very common in Europe for bankfishing. They don't cast with them tho. The line is tied to a piece of thin bungee that goes into the last couple of sections of the pole. The bungees come in different strengths. The line is then dropped directly under the end of the pole, typically using a very thin, sensitive float.

that discusses pole fishing. It also discusses using a swimfeeder, which is a little cage-like plastic doohickey that holds some chum near your bait.

The main site (www.bankfisher.com) has a lot of great European techniques for bank fishing.

Most fishermen in Texas can cast their bait accurate enough not to need something like that !! rolfmao

Way to much work. A mickey mouse pole and rod can catch blue gills all day too. Funny though, I give him that.

I had a 4 meter match pole from england at one time my favoite part was the bung and attaching it to the bunghole it was fun but not my thing its huge in Chicago
