w/Boat:
1. South Bosque river (Old lorena rd.-ish or Hwy 84 bridge)

2. Put in at Flat Rock (NW of Airport) and go north/north-west (31.608145,-97.272477) and fish around the trees stumps. Current from the N. Bosque pushes a lot of scavenger-friendly food along the bank/bend. That little inlet just north of the ramp has some stagnant water back there and I've seen some back there when I've been fishing for spawning bass in the past.

3. Fish any river that has a quick moving current around a bend (on the outside).

Bank access:
1. Flat rock, if you want to hike a bit. Pickings are slim around the ramp unless you can launch that bait way the heck out there.

2. I accidentally caught a 10-12lb-er in a cast net harvesting bait fish here... 31.519673,-97.239089 I also often see people set up on the shore in front of the parking lot with large tackle and rods.

3. I also see people fish for catfish on the Brazos near downtown. Plenty of bank access, esp in Cameron Park.

To tell you the truth I don't do much fishing for whiskers, but the occasional times I've fished specifically for catfish and caught them or seen people catching them are in these places.

We got a lot rain yesterday, so the rivers are moving and consequently heavily stained. Break out the stink or cut bait.

BTW, put the coordinates in http://maps.google.com to see where I'm talking about.

Dan
