Get yourself a Penn Senator 114HL paired with a comparable action rod (Ugly Stik Tiger, Penn Slammer). Will cost about the same $$ and you'll have a new outfit.

Ocho Update We've sent a group email to everyone, we believe, committing to Ocho Tuna. If you did not receive that email with the Excel attachment please let us know. Here is a compiled report about the Scat Cat trip from this past weekend from an Ocho Tuna fisherman. Fishing was tough, but the comments were good to hear. This carries more weight than anything we can say.
Willie,
I was on the trip this weekend. Worst conditions I have ever been in by far, and worst fishing for an overnighter by far. Boat lost power in one engine so we lost some fishing time due to that since it took so long to change locations (and the ride in was long). And yet, I did not hear anyone complain. I heard nothing but compliments for the boat, captains and crew. Capt. Ronnie would come down and explain what he was thinking before every move, and get a consensus as to if that was okay with us. Every time. I’ve never had a captain do that on an open trip. He even came down and asked everyone if we minded staying out LONGER and getting in late to try and get some more fish on the boat. Donnie was down talking to us just as much. He saw me trying to take some pictures of the waves and invited me up to the wheelhouse for a better view. I have never had a crew that was so intent on making the customers happy and putting forth every effort to get us on fish. The cat handled the seas better than any boat I have been in, and did it in much worse conditions. The layout was excellent, the bunks fine......... No complaints whatsoever on crew, fish handling, baits, etc. The crew even came out to our trucks in the parking lot and unloaded our stuff, then asked us were we wanted it stowed. This is a first class operation from start to finish. Unbelievably, I really enjoyed this trip, and it obviously was not due to the catch. I think those who have not done it will be happy with it. Every person I talked to in the middle of the gale force winds was praising, well, everything. Most everyone fished throughout it all! And remarkably, it ended up being fun..............It did not roll much, it handled the waves fine Great choice for Ocho Tuna..........(BTW, we estimate 16’ seas, with swells to 20’).
We believe that the Scat Cat crew and F.W. will do no less for the Ocho Tuna crew. There is a bit more from the report and we will email that to everyone on Ocho Tuna. Sounds encouraging.
