Wow !! Check out all these catfish at a spot on my local lake. They are thick. But they are used to being fed by people all the time, hah hah. Like little pets.

That's a lot of catfish. When I was a kid I knew someone with a private pond that had a ton of catfish like that. They fed the fish daily and ate catfish all the time.

No, no fishing allowed there. It's the outside deck area of a restaurant here in Lake Austin in Austin, TX and part of the attraction is the catfish. And the carp mixed in with them.

People mostly feed them left over french fries, catfish nuggets, and whatever leftover food they have I guess. But french fries seem to be their favorite. I guess catfish will eat most types of human food.

Even if you could bring a rod and reel and fish there it would be too easy it would be like cheating in a way right? So there wouldn't be much challenge in it I guess.

They are fun to watch though. They are sort of the restaurant pets and those catfish just hang around there all the time waiting for food handouts from people and kids that like to feed them their french fries.

Bass Pro Shops in Rockwall has an outside pond like that.....loaded with cats and carp that will swarm on a pinch of bologna sandwich quicker than a minnow can swim a dipper!
