Just though i would let ya'll know that as of last Friday the 155, or Cedar Springs/Upshur county landing which ever you call it, boat ramp at pines was still filled in with floating plants. It's not the bad kind it's just got the ramp filled in. There was a couple of trailers in the paring lot that had put in but it would be a chore. i had my flat bottom trying out my go devil motor but i still did not want the hassle besides i had my wife with me and she said were not putting in here. So i went to Lone Star landing.

Put in there last Thursday, in the morning it was fine. When I came back in the afternoon it was 30 yards of hyacinth to plow through. It was quite a workout getting that mess off the trailer.

guys , be carefull loading up your lower unit in the weeds ..
I thought my merc was a weedeater, and did a little "clearout" at our ramp.
I admit , I did a lot ..

thing is , the chopped up weed (alligator weed) did a number on my waterpump ..wore it out , also clogged the thermals ,and the poppit valve, not to mention , I had to pull the powerhead to get the weed out of the exhaust plate cooling holes ....
.
Next time , I will make sure it says "WEEDEATER " not mercury ..
hope this saves someone some grief .
