I recently got powder paints and I was wondering if you could mix two (or more colors) to get the color you want.

Thanks

That would be a "NO" I just tried mixing PINK and GREEN CHART didn't look very good at all. I just had to try and find out for my self. Not going to waste my powder to just get a certain color. I just go and buy that paticular color and save my powder.

But I'm back now making my jigs again getting ready for the spawn. I'm working grave yard shift and it can get pretty slow where I'm at. But my bro-n-law put me back to work againg went out and bought me some led and some hook so he can have some ready for him when he hit the creek where he at. And I also will be to.

Correction, maybe we could replace "That would be a "NO"" with that is not necessarily, maybe the shade was wrong or something. I mixed hot pink and green chart and got a definate orange, have used it and the heads it produces are orange. I would not have posted that info if it were not true. Sorry it did not work for you. But, I was just playing around. I actually the reason I tried mixing those 2 was an experiment to see if it would not mix color and produce a head with hot pink and chart. I don't mix colors, like you if I want a color I just buy that color. That mixing I did with just a spoon full of each color to see what happened.

Glad you are back making your jigs, you will be ready for the spawn for sure.

rolfmao rolfmao rolfmao Not testing.

Me either, I did not think it would make orange. I wanted a head that had both hot pink and chart properties is how I came up with that. It's not bright orange at all. Red & Yellow should make orange, per the color wheel, but maybe that is why pink and chart, pink is in the red realm and green chart might be in the yellow realm more than in the green realm. I don't know, anyway I have some orange heads from it. I am going to try red/yellow and see what happens.

You can have some fun with the powder by taking a small cup and putting 2 or 3 different colors in it. Don't mix it up very much. You will get a "rainbow" look...no two heads will be the same. Will it catch more fish? No. Does it give a jig tyer something else to play with? Sure.

I got orange by mixing the pink and green. I know its a fact that humans see colors differently . epecially the reds. woman see reds diffrent than men do. Some folks are also colorblind and dont even realize it. that has to be the reason folks run stoplights right? would a sensible person risk thier lives just to not wait at a light for a couple of minutes?
