If ur just fishing to fish and not keep then its good. If ur fishing to eat, then maybe its not as good because ur probably looking for size or other fish after u limit out. I dont mind either way, its all good!!
Ive only seen one guy catch a hybrid off the wall bottom fishing with minnows. It was about 18 and a half inches (i know cause the guy next to me measured it). They gotta be on that other side of the dam where theres more current. Seen a boat on the far side of the dam but didnt stay long enough to see him catch anythin.
It really doesn't matter. They will shut the gates down today or tomm. The water has almost been vacated. only a little over 6 inches left to release. That will happen today or tomm. Should be no release by Sat.
awesome iluvfishin. I havent seen any caught during the day. was down there again this morning. they have shut down all but two gates. the fishing was really slow compared to the past few days. i would guess that the crappie fishing will pick up but they will probally shut down the other two soon. i sure would have liked to catch me some hybrids.

Caught my first flatty this morning on a slab. Couldn't believe it. I fish with live perch, live shad and cut bait and catch NOTHING. Flathead was around 7-8 pounds. I'm ready to see what he taste like. Also caught 2 crappies and some sandies.

Can anyone here explain the logic in draining the lake this quick? I mean from 6500 cfs to 0 cfs.... a week ago the lake was 4 ft over! In may they ran 800 cfs for a couple of weeks!

Im glad that I am not the only one that is disturbed by this! We could have easily had 2-3 more weeks of amazing fishing had they released on a much smaller scale
all i can say is work has been real slow and it has been a blast going down there lately. i need something to do. yall hit me up if you wanna go. lake side? lavon? where?.

Went down and fished here after work yesterday...it seemed that every whitebass I caught had been previously chewed on by something??? My buddy caught a crappie with the same phenomena...could there really be that many flatheads down there? or is it something else?
Probably a gar. They were pretty thick in there. I snagged one while crappie fishing on the tail. Thing took off gliding on top of the water. Awesome sight lol
