Any body know if there are any fish at the pond by the Ballpark in Arlington? Any other places to fish in that area besides Lake Arlington?

Does anyone know if there actually trout at Bethany Lakes Park? There is a sign showing a five trout limit, but I've never seen them there. TPWL shows they were stocked in pond "C".

They do stock rainbows in the pond when the water temp is cold enough to support them. I think they stock it around the end of dec. You can always tell cause everyone and there dog will be fishing.

Thanks for the help.

Do you happen to know which pond is pond "C" so I know where to be looking?

Pond C is the horseshoe-shaped pond with a pier. Will be the first pond on your right as you enter the parking area off of North Allen Heights.

Knot at work, yes have fished the creek. Caught Bluegill, Sunfish, and Bass. Mainly in the Spring due to the brush makes access hard.

Caught a Sunfish that went 10" and lost a few little Bass but have heard of others catching some nice size Bass further down the creek and into Shadow Lakes.

FYI - Here are two links to a couple of YouTube videos when we fished the feeder creek in 2008. One is near North Allen Heights; the other is up the running trail as you go to McDermott.

I went to Bethany Lakes today around 2pm, caught 2 small bass on a gander mountain worm. Are there any decent sized bass in there? all I have gotten are little guys the biggest being MAYBE 8 inches.

Caught a 16" lmb at Colleyville Justice Center pond this morning on a wacky worm. I'd been told the bite was slow, but the fish caught are worth it. I believe it!

The fishing at Bethany Lakes has been hit and miss over the weekend with the weather. I went out Sunday and took two small bass on a shakey head with a Yum Paddle Tail worm. The bite has definitely slowed down out there. Largest so far was a 5.2 lb bass on a trap about a week ago. Knotatwork I have fished those creeks a few times and there are good fish in there, but it is dang near impossible as the poison ivy is everywhere during spring, summer, and fall.

BOOya,

There are lots of quality fish in there sometimes I think ya just got weed through the small fish to get the bigger ones. All of the ponds there have produced fish over 5 lbs for me or a buddy that fishes with me regularly.

Ok cool I'll have to put more time in there then. Wasn't sure if it had decent fish in it or not. I've only pulled one out of the horseshoe pond on a trap and the rest have come out of the next pond on plastics.

Just a note on the horseshoe pond- all of my fish out of there the past couple of weeks have been nearer the steep far bank. If you go to what would be the middle of the horseshoe and cast basically all the way to the far bank where it is inaccessible from shore I've been able to catch them pretty consistently on watermelon candy flukes.

Caught my PB Bass on a flyrod at Bethany.

FYI: Fished Celebration Park again for another try at a Bruiser Catfish. Nothing bigger than 12" with most going smaller. Next time!

Agreed, while there are a ton of smallish bass I've been surprised more than once by the quality of some of the fish out there.
