I have two of the same ones that Tim has, and if you can afford $230 per; they're the rod to have. If you wanna go a bit less expensive, buy the PS70MLF for $100. Premier series, 7', med light, fast tip.

You can't fish with two at the same time, I'll trade you my walmart rod for one of them (it catches fish I promise).

I've got a PS60ULF and a PS56LF and they are awesome rods for crappie! My next one will probably be the PS70MLF

I use either a Shakespeare Dimension or a Pflueger Trion GX-7.

Either can be bought for under $40.00.

This is no wimp of a rod and you need a good sturdy reel to get the best out of it.

Both the PS70MLF and the TWS76MLF are great rods. I've had the Premier for awhile and really liked it so I took the plunge, sold off some of my bass tackle, and bought the Legend Tournament after fishing with one. I haven't got to fish the new one much but I'm sure it's going to be a winner as well.

As for reels I'm a die hard Shimano fan. Anything from the Sahara on up in the 1000 size is the best there is IMHO.
