I have a Tahoe and a warning light has came on it looks like an Exhaust sign. What is it and what do I need to do?

I am guessing that it is the Check Engine Light(CEL). Have someone scan it. If you have ONSTAR call them for the cod . The light can be on for a plethora of reasons.
