Preferably in Grapevine or close by. My '03 Yukon's tranny is starting to slip. It's not fun, sitting in the middle of an intersection seeing the tach at 2000 rpm and not moving. eeks Any suggestions??

pull it down in low and manually shift it when that happens.(for now). adds more pressure to the plates hydraulically.

i would try to find a dealership tech that will do it as a side job. save you thousands for the highest quality workmanship. i repaired several trans back in my day that were from aftermarket shops... you would be simply amazed at some of the stuff i have seen....

DOUGIE or DUSTIN!!! where you guys at?!?!?! theres a couple GM techs on here....

I wish you would have replied earlier. Already got the work done and it was pretty painful.

Thanks for the reply anyways.

There is a lady at the Oreily auto parts in Rowlett. Her husband does transmissions. I mentioned to her that the rip off job that Eagle Transmission in Rowlett, across the street from Oreilly did on me. She then said that her husband does transmissions.

Eagle transmission charged me over 2k to work on the transmission on my sons truck. I asked them to keep the parts. when I showed up to pay, the said they had already thrown the parts away and that the scrap truck came and picked them up. Needless to say, they did not fix it. I took the truck to a mechanic by my work and he told me what it was and $60 later for the part. the problem was resolved.

What did you pay? If I would have seen this earlier, I would have recommended my guy. He'd be about $1200
