So I am wanting to "try" to make my own jigs. Unfortunately I do not know much about it, just from what I read. I also cannot make the trips to any of the seminars either simply because work has me locked down. On that note here are my questions.
Where can I get all the materials needed? What all materials will I need? What will be about the cost to get started? Any places you recommend on reading more about HOW TO make jigs?
I would like to pour my own jigs as well, but could easily purchase jigheads for the time being.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark,I would recommend getting the jig tying kit from BPS to get started. The economy vice will get you going, and let you see if its something you like. You can always upgrade later but its a decent starter vice with a fair selection of materials.
Go to youtube for some very good tutorials on how to tie.Lots of folks here willing to answer any questions you might have.

I started with a fly tieing kit for the hardware (vise, thread, bobin, techniques.) From there, the colors are up to you. Check out tackleunderground.com. Great site for info.
Be careful, it can be addicting!

It's addicting. As they have already said, youtube has all the videos you will need to get you started tying.
There are many suppliers. My main supplier gets anything I want at a great price, good customer service and fast shipping. Grandpa Bob's Custom Jigs
