You just purchased a new (different) home, didn't you?
Call a plumber and have all the lines run from the toilets to the street.
Then save up your $$$ and remember to do it every 24-30 months or so.

Okay, I'm about to hit the sheets, but we had something similar at the lake house and it was on a septic...What had happened is people were flushing the 'Rid-X' (don't use this product by the way) in the toilet furthest from the tank...It wasn't able to flush all the way down the line and crystalized just before the kitchen sink drain...Fortunately, either the realtor or the previous owner paid for it because we didn't even pay the deductible or file a claim with the warranty company...

get a water hose and after you remove toilet fill the line then try to plunge it. if not rent an auger and go thru vents and clean out. it is usually cheaper and safer in the long run to have an plumber do this though.

Yes I just purchased a new to me home. Moved in Saturday. Luckily we got the home warranty. I guess we will be calling a plumber already. We are on city sewer.

older home? Could be clay pipes and if there is a tree close to the line running to the curb then you have roots in your line.

If I remember correctly, you get one clean-out per warranty period (year) for your deductible. Read the policy you were given at Closing _before_ the service person gets to your home and understand what is covered and what is not. The service person gets paid extra on the up-sell. Welcome to your new home..... we've all done it....

Thats it make him feel all warm and fuzzy after buying a new home. I am glad you are not in the welcoming commity. When I was a Texas-licensed real estate sales person I had my own copy of "The Money Pit" for my new clients. Just so they'd know what they were getting in to....

I am glad you are not in the welcoming commity. It's actually not that bad of a problem, one time roto-rooter or whatever then epsom salt every so often.

If you run the water hose in the pipe. Think cross-connection.
