I am pleased to announce that the "Bass Pro Shop Tournament Series" will be hosting the "1st Annual Guns-n-Hoses Invitational Bass Classic" on Sunday November 15th at Lake Lewisville.

This tournament is open to any current and/or retired member of law enforcement and/or fire departments. Competitiors must have a minimum of (1) public safety member per boat to compete!

The tournament will launch out of "Lewisville Lake Park - Ramp # 2". The gates will open at 5:00am the morning of the tournament. Gate entry fee will be $3.00 for anglers competing in this event.

1ST ANNUAL GUNS-N-HOSES INVITATIONAL BASS CLASSIC!

When: Sunday November 15th!

Where: Lake Lewisville

Ramp: Lewisville Lake Park - Ramp # 2

Entry: $75 Per Boat + $10 BIG BASS Option

Payback: 80% at Ramp - 1 in 5 places

Registration: Anglers / Teams may pre-register prior to the event by sending a PM to Scott Gordon on the TFF, or by email at sgbhs@yahoo.com. All anglers are welcome to register at the ramp the morning of the tournament as well.

Format: Invitational - Open to any current and/or retired member of law enforcement and fire department. Anglers may compete as a two-person team or as an individual (Anglers Choice) Each boat must have a minimum of (1) member of public safety competing. Members of public safety may be employed in any capacity of their respective agency to compete.

The regular working man events and the Grapevine Series are done for the season. There were two different evening working man events this year, Wednesday and Thursday. I am planning a possible "fall open" on the Vine as well as a Christmas event!

Hey Cousin. . . I played baseball against some of the Haltom FD guys and told them about it!! Not sure how many of them fish!! Hope ya'll have a good turnout and I might be out there to watch weigh in! Now you have some pressure on u to catch fish!!

Lancaster will be fishing it and Im pretty sure that red oak is going to send a team.

I didn't fish today, but did on Saturday and had the same "enjoyable" experience. I'll throw in my Ranger VX521 with two Garmin 240's and a Lowrance GPS unit, and to sweeten the deal, (50) Shimano rod-and-reel combos and. Truck load of tackle and baits!

Scott what was the final count of teams? I was so expecting atleast 25-50 teams. not less then 15 teams like we had.

I am with Louie, We caught one fish (Spot) 10 inches. At the very back of Pecan Creek which is about about 2 miles up the creek or so. Really the only bite we had. I wouldnt of thought that one little spot would have been that far back by him self.

Louie, you could never open a Donut Shop. You would definetly eat all the profits and them some.....lol

I'm just glad the weather held out for the tourney!! It was bad enough not catching fish much less not catching fish and being cold

Thanks Scott for running a great tourney! It was alot of fun even though the fishing was very tough. We caught all 5 keepers on spinning tackle with 4" worms. It was fun to represent CFD yesterday. It was even more fun to beat up on the cops! lol Thanks again,hopefully next year it will be even bigger.

So James you know I have to ask....what flavor cake and ice cream? I just may have to man up and bring some to the fd.

Thanks to Scott for helping with the tourny and congrats to James and Leslie for the win. It was tougher than it has been for me, we had been catching some nice fish the weeks leading to the tourny. Our big bass came on a crankbait in 3 foot of water. Lets spread the word and keep this thing growing for the future. If anybody needs anything just give me a call. Chad Hill

The idea me and Scott are kicking around is pairing up the Brittney tournament and the FD vs PD into the same tournament so the next one might be in may. I'll let all of you know what happens o ce we make a decision. Thanks to all of you for making this a fun event!!!
