there was a new lake record Small mouth buffalo cought on bardwell this year! it was 21.44 lbs and cought on a minnow. Ive seen and fished with the boy who cought it and given him some tackle for crappie so im excited for him!!! I didnt even know he cought it till just a few minutes ago. We need to go fishing down there yall?!?! i talked to some friends who fish there religeously and they told me that its been a BUFF fest and COMMON fest there for the whole summer!!!!!!!

How big do the commons get there? I used to fish that lake religiously when I was a kid with my dad. We fished over on the waxahachie creek park side up in the creeks for cats and crappie. I remember seeing carp in there real thick but never actually fished for them.

not sure but ive seen some that i woild say were in the upper teens and maybe a lower twenty or two

Here I am right close to that lake and havent fished it in several years.
I used to catch many small carp and some decent cats out of that lake.

Do you ever fish Chambers creek or waxahachie creek?
I've done chambers creek close to Italy several times this year and done very well sometimes.
Been wanting to drop my canooe in Wax. creek at the bridge but just havent made it yet.
