Hi, everyone! I have never fished a party boat before, and really want to try it. I don't target any specific fish, just want to have some fun. I don't mind to drive a few more hours to get the best deal. Based on custom service, price, how comfortable the ride is, how good to put the fish on, and other things, who offers the best party boat in Texas?

+ 1 for Deep Sea Headquarters. Every time I go to Port A I take 2 or 3 trips out with them. Never been on anything longer than a 12 hr trip but I always enjoyed myself and the Capt and crew were top notch. Also, very affordable.
They also used to sell so many tickets at a discounted price. Cant remember how many or how much... but the family would always buy the bulk tickets and split them up accordingly.

By Far, The Big E out of Freeport is the finest long-range party boat fishing the GOM, and the prices are starting to approach affordable. from there, you don't really go downhill, cause all the port A boats will put you on fish, it's just as the price drops, so do the amenitites, so you have to ask yourself what you expect before you spend your $$. do your research, there's a lot of good options. tight lines -Brian

The biggest issue IMO is what do you want to do. It's like asking what is the best college. For what?
Trips on party boats run from 5hrs to 80hrs. What are you looking for?

Out of Port Aransas we always go out with DSH on 5 to 8 hour trips and we love the 5 hour night trip with Fisherman's Wharf (8pm to 1:am). Even if you don't catch anything on that trip (which has never happened for us) the night trip always brings a great sunset and all kinds of things are attracted to the lights when fishing.
Can't go wrong with either.

SeaSheperd, tell us some more about that 5 hour night trip. What are catching, and at what times of the year?

Thanks for the tips. I actually went out with my friend on the Big E for a 12 hours fishing trip last week. It's a nice boat with nice people. We caught many fish including red snapper.

deepseaheadquarters as far as good fishing crew boat and cost. I mean you can do the Big E and have a great fishing expierience but exenssive comapred to Deepseaheadquarters.
